Derwent manufactures Fire Hydrants for the Australian and New Zealand Water Markets.   The Hydrants are manufactured in accordance with the relevant standard for the area. Please refer to your local Water Authority to see if the Derwent product is approved in your area.

Spring Hydrants

Derwent Spring Hydrants are manufactured to AS 3952-2002 and are available for both water and re-use water applications.  

 

Sizes:                                      DN 80 and DN100.

Features:

  • Ductile Iron Body and top to AS 1831

  • Compression Spring 316 S/S

  • Fusion coated for corrosion protection

  • Aluminium Bronze Dome t

  • Anti-Gall Coated 316S/S Nuts and Bolts

Applications:

Spring Hydrants are used for either potable (Blue top) or reuse (Lilac top).

SWAB Hydrants are also available with removable internals to allow main to be swabbed through the Hydrant. (As shown in cross section)

Applications:

SWAB Spring Hydrants are used where swabbing of the line is required. The top of the Spring Hydrant and internals can be removed to allow for the SWAB to pass through the hydrant.

Derwent Industries supplies both Tall and Squat New Zealand Hydrants. The Hydrants are manufactured to NZS 4522:2010. The Underground Fire Hydrants are available in both Tall and Squat version.
